I welcome you in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whose sacrifice we have come to find the way, the truth about the king’s meal.
The message you are about to be fed with might not be new, but I assure you, you will definitely find God’s unmeasurable Wisdom in it.
Before we continue, let us pray:
Most precious and everlasting father, we thank you for the freedom of access to kingdom truth and mysteries. We thank you for your unwavering love and kindness. We ask oh Lord that this message become a lamp on our path in this last days and a seed for right living in Jesus name… Amen!

Focus Verse: 1:8
But Daniel determined that he would not defile himself by eating the king’s food or drinking his wine, so he asked the head of the palace staff to exempt him from the royal diet. – (MSG)
The cravings for the Kings meal has destroyed the young, the old, male and female, families and society. The world is shaking and full of greed, prostitution, murder and all kinds of ills because of the unending desire for King’s Meal.
Some are conscious of its potency for destruction while others are stirred into craving for it and still, others nurse the appetite on their own.
What is the King’s Meal?
The desire and cravings for pleasurable things. Things that are only valuable to the flesh. More “Trending cloths” even when you have enough. More money even when their is so much available in your wallet. The hunger for fame, the wish to bring others down to take their position etc.
These desires characterizes such a person as one with cravings for the King’s meal. The book of James 1:14-15 says:
Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. (NLT).
The Power of the King’s Meal:
Among all the things the king’s mean can do, here is one you should not forget:
- It will make you look like the kings of this dying world: King Nebuchadnezzar considered Daniel and his friends to be more valuable than all his magicians Daniel 1:19-20. They found favour in the sight of the king because the king could see another breed within them – the stuff they were made of were alien to the wisdom of the king.
All these were possible because the king could not find traces of his meal in them. They fed on things the King would not imagine to feed on. The other colleagues of the Hebrew children would also not give it a try.
To them it was a big honor to be given the food and drink of the king. But they ended up looking like the King – insufficient, lack depth of Wisdom, no clear insight to mysteries. Because their systems have been corrupted with the King’s Meal.
While the meal may be attractive and pleasant for the mouth, remember the bible says in Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it – (NIV).
Take ways
- The king’s meal represent treasure and pleasure of this dying world. Those who crave and seek them fall into the snare of the god of this world – the devil.
- Inter-generational relevance can only be achieved when this you are not fed with the kings meal. Kings with their never-ending demands for wise council will never consult you for insight if all you know is what they know.
- The flesh profits nothing, why invest in an asset that will perish. Eternal glory makes residence in the in Jesus, investing in Him qualifies you for an eternal, never failing reward.
This is a kingdom powerful kingdom principle. It states,
The avoidance of King’s meal is a reward of eternal glory and those who rejects its deceptive beauty and attraction, shall be reward in the age and forever.
The ball is in your court, what will you choose? The King’s meal? or the eternal glory?
